Ham and mantuan melon are a classic combination. We propose you a version even more delicious, that transforms this combination of flavors in something more than a simple, even tasty, cold dish. On a slice of toasted bread, we spread a generous layer of mascarpone (alternatively you can also use good butter), we add a slice (or two) of ham and a generous teaspoon of melon mostarda. The mostarda enhances the flavor of melon and strenghtens the contrast between the sweet aromatic flavor of the fruit symbol of summer and the sapidity of the ham. The result is a balanced and tasty meal , perfect as aperitif, snack or, second course if abounding with the quantity.
